Kalam launched a technological mission of upgrading the conventional telecommunication and imagery engineering. He had proposed integrated application of space technology with conventional techno-science systems. Integration is necessary also for acquisition of new knowledge systems in the critically important areas of biotechnology, and Nano-technology. President has emphasized importance of the nano-technoloyg which is a magic mantra for developmental strategy in the millennium. Therefore, for the next decades, our science policy must be directed towards development of Nanoscale structures, insists the President.

President Kalam’s major writings include Vision 2020, Ignited Mind, and the Wings of Fire. His poetry, and publications have established his claim to an outstanding communicator as well as an effective science writer. His poetry has inspired our artists, painters, and dramatists who have taken up Kalam’s message of peace and prosperity. Raja Radha Reddy of Natya Tarangini had produced a classical fusion of Kalam’s poetry with Krishna’s Gita in the Kuchipudi dance performance. Raja Reddy group created a musical fusion of Kalam’s philosophical message in poetry and turned it into an impressive Kuchipudi stage show of rich Indian heritage.
